Photography and fine art of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka is an ancient city part of the Cultural Triangle and is arguably one of the most fascinating places in the planet. (It’s the 8th wonder of the world, but not sure why it actually isn’t? named so. Resent science and archaeological sciencetiptis is connecting this place to be having a star gate connection. Who is even decides these things is to expose??
Anyways, it was declared a UNESCO world heritage site and preserved so the world can marvel at the glory of past civilizations. Sigiriya Rock is the actual name but it’s also known as Lions Rock.
Sri Lanka’s most talked-about paintings are the Sigiriya maidens, found up the Lion Rock. When they were originally painted in the 5th century, around 500 beautiful ladies decorated the wall, in a massive mural which spanned 450 feet in length and 130 in height.
